Our Story
Ken Achikian, master goldsmith, began his apprenticeship with a master artist and goldsmith when he was 14 years old. When war broke out, he immigrated to California where he worked as a jeweler for four years before moving to Washington, D.C. to accept a goldsmith position. In 1990 he and his wife, Maral, established Achikian Goldsmiths, Inc. in Vienna, Virginia. Together, they have devoted the past 28 years to providing their customers with the finest jewelry and service.

Appraisals
Services
Achikian Goldsmiths recommends having any piece of jewelry you wear frequently and could not easily afford to replace (i.e. wedding set, engagement ring, diamond stud earrings, a fine watch, etc.) to be appraised and insured. We provide a complimentary jewelry appraisal, by request, on each piece of fine jewelry purchased from our store, whether it is a custom piece or one from our collection. Achikian Goldsmiths provides appraisals for all pieces of fine jewelry and watches – whether new, estate pieces, or family heirlooms. Jewelry appraisals are conducted at our shop. You will receive two copies of the appraisal, one for your personal records and one for insurance purposes, which provide a detailed description of the piece, including weights and measurements of the stones and metals and a current replacement value.
Big or small, all jewelry and watch repairs at Achikian Goldsmiths begin with a FREE estimate. Whether you are looking to have a ring sized or an heirloom piece restored, we will provide you with a FREE estimate. Our customers’ repairs are done at our shop, by skilled craftsmen that have spent a lifetime learning the trade, working with all karats of gold, platinum and diamonds, precious stones and pearls. With our own goldsmith on premises, here is not much that we can’t do.
